Message from the President
The International Academy of Digital Pathology (IADP) is a non-profit organization formed by scientists, pathologists and academicians from around the globe with a mission of promoting the development of information technology to help pathologists in their clinical work, research activities, education, and quality assurance programs. Specifically the academy aims to (II) promote the standardization of digital pathology; (III) promote research, innovation, development and good practice of information and communication technologies in pathology; (IV) exchange information between research scientists and pathologists through establishment of digital pathology networks; and (V) provide education, research and development to enable the effective implementation of digital pathology in developing countries.
The academy will host its first international conference on August 3-5, 2011 in Quebec City, Canada. The conference will cover topics that are of interest to pathologists, biologists, researchers and information technology professionals (including software engineers, computer science researchers, and related biomedical informatics professionals).Mark your calendar for the Ist Congress of the International Academy of Digital Pathology and have the opportunity to learn the latest technology in digital pathology and network with people in the field.
